White Sands is a 11" x 28" abstract oil painting by artist Rebecca Robb.
This diptych is one of my mini abstract seascapes. I have a lot of canvases I use to teach my painting workshops. I decided to paint over them so I don't waste these precious canvases.
To effectively paint over another painting, I use my pallet knife and apply my paint in thick layers to cover the underpainting. As always, I let some specks of color from my under painting come through to create more color interest and texture.
This mini diptych is soft and calming in color and loud and bold in texture.
