This painting is simple and elegant. I wanted to be more atmospheric with this painting by creating soft suggestive lines with intentional abstract texture. This painting is less about what an ocean looks like and more about what the senses experience while standing on a shore. It’s about the unforgettable smell of sea salt wafting in the breeze as it lifts and blows your hair every which way while your toes curl in the soft textured sand. It’s the feeling of calm and quiet of mind as you listen to the hypnotic cycle of waves rush in, pour out on the sand and recede, making way for the next wave. “Sea Salt” is what I see when I close my eyes to be transported away to one of my favorite places on earth.
