From Within is a 30" x 40" Frida Kahlo portrait oil painting by artist Rebecca Robb.
As I was painting this portrait of Frida Kahlo, I naturally assumed I would call it "Frida" especially this being my first rendition of the historic figure.
With each stroke of my brush, I thought about Frida's amazing courage and determination to push through some of life's most trying obstacles, to be hungry for growth and to pursue her interests.
The words " From Within" kept nudging at me as I was adding the final elements to this original. It's from within that we find our courage and strength.
