“Boats In A Row” was commissioned by a client who really loved “Day’s End” but needed a specific size. “Days End,” another of my marina paintings, reminded my client of San Diego where they grew up but moved away as an adult. I can relate to art that reminds a person of fond memories or a special place. My whole ethos for creating art is to connect the viewer with their inner nostalgia of happy memories. “Boats In A Row” with it’s glass like water, is set at golden hour with the intense warm glow of the sun.
