Cyan Seas is a 11" x 14" seascape oil painting by artist Rebecca Robb.
"Cyan Seas" is one of my mini abstract seascapes series originals. I have a lot of canvases I use to teach my painting workshops. I decided to paint over them so I don't waste these precious canvases.
To effectively paint over another painting, I use my pallet knife and apply my paint in thick layers to cover the underpainting. As always, I let some specks of color from my under painting come through to create more color interest and texture.
Up close, this painting is bursting with textured paint, it compels you want to touch it.
