Octopuses are intelligent yet under-appreciated animals. One of their many fascinating abilities is to change color to blend into their surroundings. In "Sunset Camouflage" I wanted to play on this concept by painting the octopus blending into a variety of bright colors. He is reflecting luminescent coral below and a bright warm sunset above.
