The subject of this large original is a small, worn row boat parked on the sand near the water. There is a strong sense of intense temperature heating the boat and surrounding sand. Whether gliding through the water or resting on shore, row boats have a calming presence about them. They aren't meant to go far or in a hurry. Their purpose is up to one, or a small handful of individuals, to decide what needs to be accomplished out on the water or what new adventures await the day.
