Highland Horns is a 30" x 40" animal portrait oil painting by artist Rebecca Robb.
Many moons ago, when I was nineteen backpacking in Europe, I stayed with a family in Germany who had a highland cow in their quaint farm home. It was love at first sight when I first saw that fluffy puppy cow with his floppy ears and shaggy brown coat. Ever since I have wanted to paint a highland cow. "Highland Horns" is that painting, the first since I had the privilege to meet one in person.
My objective with this painting was to create striking texture with my cow's fur, almost as if you could feel the fluff, while expressing my colors with a neutral palette.
This art piece works well with many interior decor styles and colors.
